Jennifer Barcellos joined The Burton Law Firm in 2022 as an associate attorney with a focus in estate planning, trust administration, probate, and estate and gift taxation. Jennifer assists individuals and families with estate succession planning and guides family members through the trust and estate administration process.
Jennifer started her legal career at the age of nineteen while working with a maritime insurance defense law firm in San Diego, California. While working in San Diego, Jennifer obtained an associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Justice Studies. Thereafter, Jennifer moved to Sacramento and worked for two prestigious estate planning and tax-focused law firms as an Estate Planning, Business, and Tax Paralegal. After twelve years as a Paralegal, Jennifer graduated from McGeorge School of Law with dual concentrations in Business and Tax.
Jennifer is a member of the State Bar of California, and the State Bar sections for Trusts & Estates, Real Estate, and Taxation. She is also a member of the United States Tax Court. Jennifer is a member of the California Lawyers Association, the California Young Lawyers Association, and the Sacramento County Bar Association.
In her free time, Jennifer loves to travel, ride her bike, hike, and spend time with her two adorable dogs, Bodie & Max.
