Ingrid K. Tung
J.D., Esq.

Attorney

Ingrid K. Tung is certified as a Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She brings a distinctive blend of sophisticated legal expertise, strategic insight, and compassionate counsel to individuals and families seeking to protect what matters most.

Before dedicating her practice to estate planning, Ingrid began her legal career as a mergers and acquisitions attorney at a leading Silicon Valley law firm, advising clients on complex corporate transactions during the height of the dot-com era. Today, she applies that same analytical rigor and problem-solving ability to helping families navigate the complexities of wealth preservation, legacy planning, and intergenerational stewardship.

Ingrid focuses her practice on advanced estate planning and trust administration, with particular experience in special needs planning, charitable giving strategies, high-net-worth estates, closely held businesses, and international estate matters. She understands that estate planning is about far more than documents and tax strategies—it is about providing peace of mind, preserving family values, protecting loved ones, and creating a thoughtful framework for the future.

Whether helping parents establish protections for a child with special needs, guiding business owners through succession planning, or addressing the challenges of cross-border family wealth, Ingrid designs personalized strategies that honor each client’s unique goals and circumstances. Her approach combines technical excellence with careful listening, ensuring that every plan reflects not only financial considerations, but also the relationships, values, and aspirations that define a family’s legacy.

Clients consistently praise Ingrid for her ability to make complex legal concepts understandable and accessible. Known for her thoroughness, clarity, and warmth, she is valued as both a trusted advisor and a skilled advocate who helps clients make confident decisions about their future. By guiding families through difficult questions with sensitivity and foresight, she helps transform uncertainty into clarity and planning into lasting peace of mind.

Beyond her legal practice, Ingrid is deeply committed to community leadership and education. She serves as Chair-Elect of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, a nonprofit organization serving North, Central, and South America that is dedicated to creating a better world through music education. She is inspired by the Suzuki philosophy of nurturing character, resilience, and excellence through learning—principles that closely mirror her approach to both leadership and client service.

Through her service with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, as well as previous leadership roles with the Folsom Music Boosters and the Sacramento Youth Symphony, Ingrid has cultivated a deep appreciation for the power of mentorship, community, and long-term investment in future generations. These experiences reinforce her belief that both estate planning and music education share a common purpose: helping individuals and families build meaningful legacies that endure.

Ingrid earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she completed a Specialization in International Affairs, and her B.A. in Political Science and Music from Wellesley College. She has also contributed to Trusts & Estates Quarterly on legislative developments in elder law.
