Sherri Handley serves as a Paralegal for The Burton Law Firm in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration.
She has been practicing as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for almost 25 years. Sherri graduated with her Associates Degree in Business, Legal Office Procedures from Yuba Community College, Marysville; and received her Paralegal Certificate from American River College, Sacramento, an ABA approved institution. Sherri is an American Veteran who has served in the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. Sherri supports the Veterans Treatment Court (VTC), a pilot court in Sacramento County set up to offer veterans of the United States Armed Forces a comprehensive, treatment-based alternative to incarceration for non-violent criminal offenses. In the past, Sherri has served as a mentor at Loaves & Fishes for the Women’s Empowerment Program.
Outside of work Sherri enjoys reading legal novels, historical accounts and autobiographies; hiking, and traveling to see her 16 grandchildren. Sherri resides in Meadow Vista with her husband, Ken.
